Are you working in IT and looking for an opportunity to work within the events industry? If yes, then this could be the role you have been looking for! We have a unique position on offer from a client of ours. They are looking for an Event Engineer who would be a key component in the deployment and support of the temporary networks and payment systems at several well-known and high-profile events! This would be a hands-on role, with a wide range of responsibilities revolving around making sure that all kit and equipment for the upcoming event is deployed, tested and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of the temporary Electronic Point of Sale as well as fibre and copper cabling for the venue.
• Providing full capability and user training for both internal and external customers, so the team are able to make best of the technology.
• Make sure prior to the event that all techno-logic solutions have been tested and are in full-working order.
• Provide support for any on-site issues with the deployed infrastructure and ensuring they are fully dealt with quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure the breakdown of all kit and equipment is de-rerigged and stored away safely and efficiently once the event finishes.

Looking for someone who:

• Has prior networking experience as well as a working knowledge of Windows technologies.
• Is able to effectively lead a team in a fast-paced stressful environment, including offering excellent communication, (both written and verbal) and meeting strict deadlines.
• Has skills in planning, time management and problem solving in a technical capacity.
• Is prepared to work long and different hours, that are commonly required within the events industry.
• Has a prior understanding or experience working within the events or hospitality industry.
• Has a full UK driving license (no more than 6 points).

Desirable skills:

• Has working experience or knowledge of EPOS and/or other payment solutions.
• Prior experience of deploying and managing Wi-Fi Networks.
