Airframe Stress Specialist - Remote
Role:
As a part of a specialized group within the engineering team you will be supporting the A220 aircraft programs in the capacity of MRB, static, fatigue and damage tolerance specialist. The candidate will review, make recommendations and provide final MRB stress approval of reworks on manufacturing defects. Rework acceptance will be based on equivalent strength capability, equivalent structural stiffness, adequate fatigue and damage tolerance life taking into account stress levels and environmental conditions. The candidate will document those analyses on stress work files. You will be asked to support the evening shift as well as the weekends on a rotation basis.
Requirement;
You have a bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering as well as a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience. You must have MRB, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis, finite element and static stress analysis experience. A good command of composite materials is essential.
A profound knowledge of NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA, NASGRO and MS Office (EXCEL and VBA programming) is required. You must be able to work autonomously and be a good team player. A good command of the English language (written and spoken) is required.
