A leading financial services corporation is currently recruiting Senior Analyst who possess recent Banking experience preferably within Capital Markets/Securitisation. You will perform tasks such as balance sheet optimisation, market transactions, data reports and provide analytical support gaining exposure to Excel, SQL, R/VBA. Our client offers remote working with occasional office presence required for meetings/workshop and a basic salary between £40,000 to £54,000, plus an excellent benefits package outlined below.

The key purpose of this role is to provide analytical support our clients business and senior members of the Capital Markets team in all aspects of their responsibilities; in particular to assist in the completion of capital markets transactions; preparation of robust data and reports for both internal and external stakeholders; development of new tools and processes with appropriate controls; and to provide in depth analytical support and insight to the broader capital markets function. If you do not have any experience of Capital Markets, please do not be put off, the client is happy to provide training on this as long as you possess strong Data/Analytical capabilities.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead on the day-to-day analytical work to support the delivery of capital markets transactions, escalating any issues as appropriate
Provide high-level analytical support to the capital markets function, providing concise commentary regarding the findings and make recommendations where appropriate
Use best practices to improve processes, and be able to adapt to ad hoc tasks leveraging prior experience and knowledge to develop a solution for them. Lead in the production of automated tools to assist the Capital Markets team in the production of data and reports for both internal and external stakeholders. Where tools/models have been developed within the team, maintain and manage robust audit trails, version controls and procedure documents
Work with the Head of Transaction Delivery (Capital Markets) in the management of loan collateral pools with both the BOE and other secured funding facilities and provide detailed analysis and recommendation as appropriate
Work with and support the Balance Sheet Optimisation Manager in the development of the Group wide balance sheet management strategies, aiding in the review and writing of Executive summaries, ALCO papers and presentations where necessary
Support the Balance Sheet Optimisation Manager and wider Capital Markets function in the preparation/development of capital forecasting scenarios, third party residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS) investment appraisal information/tools, and the maintenance of those tools

Experience requirements:

5 years previous experience of Financial Services is essential.
An understanding of Data manipulation and Data processing is essential
Advanced Excel and modelling skills are essential (SQL, R, Python would be great!)
An excellent knowledge of mortgage lending and markets (nice to have)
Good understanding of Risk Modelling processes
Good understanding of securitisation is desirable
2 years' experience working an analyst (capital markets or risk management) (nice to have)
2 years previous experience of capital markets is (nice to have)
