Software Engineer - Southampton - £60,000

Excellent opportunity for an experienced software engineer to join a very good clients established engineering team based in Southampton. You will play a key part in the design, implementation and support of our clients cutting-edge, scientific product. The role requires the creation of complex Real Time control and data analysis applications. This role offers you the opportunity to work on challenging projects that have the potential to make a significant positive impact in the fields of scientific research, medical science and quantum technology.

Skills required:

• Desktop application software development in C#
• Windows based applications
• Excellent theoretical knowledge and demonstrable practical skills in Object Oriented Programming
• Technical understanding of web technologies, operating systems, and platforms
• C++ knowledge would be beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable skills:

• Understanding of writing software for Real Time hardware systems
• Software development of scientific products
• Interest in Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing
• C++
