IS Application Support AnalystSalary: £35k - £40k,Hybrid/Doncaster with at least 1 day on-site (Wednesdays) plus others days as required for meetings
Travel to other sites required - Crewe, Toton and Stoke - driving licence essential
Role Responsibilities
Management of IT Applications and Services to meet the clients' needs, compliant to ICT Security and other Regulations and processes.
Supporting the global strategy though IT applications and infrastructure across the company.
Directly supporting the Engineering, Safety and Procurement portfolios
Delivering broad-based IS support for strategic applications within Engineering, Safety and Procurement sectors of the business. This includes business critical applications such as Maximo (asset management), Figtree/(incident), Delta (warehouse) and CCMS (competency)
Providing 2nd line support for applications reacting swiftly to high priority incidents using root cause analysis
Liaise closely with first line Service desk
Liaise with 3rd party Suppliers as needed to resolve issues, maintain service and implement upgrades. Monitor 3rd party service delivery
Fulfilling business analyst roles on local (typically smaller scale) IT projects.
Aiding the IT Applications and Project Manager
Follow and provide input to IT methodologies, processes, and standards.
Maintaining applications at supported levels
Seek continuous improvement in day to day working
Report on progress of activities such as Incident queues, new requests etc.
Completing and reviewing Compliance and Security documentation
Occasional support for the implementation of change out of hours or high priority incident out of hours.
Maintaining strong day to day relations with business colleagues
Ideal Person
Experience of working with systems within an Engineering and Safety environment such as Maximo, Stock Control systems, safety compliance
Proven application support experience using formal methods such as ITIL for incident management, change management
Experience of working with Corporate IT systems.
Ability to work under pressure and be self-sufficient with managing priorities
strong team-working and customer service ethic.
Proven ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing particularly with internal business users and external vendors
Appetite to research, learn and develop skills
Knowledge of the railway industry is not explicitly required although would be beneficial.
