iO Associates is looking for a Assembly Process Engineer needed to work with a global high technology organisation. They oversee a wide range of global programmes, mostly in the fields of defence and homeland security. They create and provide a wide range of aerial, ground, and marine systems, and products for use in commercial, domestic security, and defence applications.

You'll be part of a team that will serve as the process leaders and owners; prescribing processing methods, measuring and controlling process performance, maintaining efficient manufacturing workflow and implementing process improvements in line with lean sigma philosophies.

Responsibilities:

• Definition of Lean process flows to optimise the manufacturing and test system design and layouts.
• Representing the manufacturing team in Integrated Project Teams (IPT) ensuring best practice is adhered to for Design for Assembly (DfA) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• The management of Bills of Materials, routings, standard operating procedures, process instructions etc,
• Creating the specification, design, manufacture, installation & testing of production equipment, tooling, fixtures & rigs and testing stations.
• Drive the identification and resolution of process and product issues within Production Operations, relating to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.

Required:

• Solid practical knowledge of such skills as; mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring looms electrical/electronic soldering and bench assembly.
• Worked within Configuration Management & Change Control environment.
• An understanding of working with digital manufacturing solutions.
• Experience in writing routings and manufacturing methods.
