Solutions Designer

Our client is a well known brand and we're delighted to be working with them to appoint a brand new Solutions Designer for their dedicated team. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a technical role, across a wide range of mainly packaged software solutions. You will be the key technology interface between group architecture and the project teams implementing new software solutions, helping them with adoption of an existing technology internally or supporting them in selecting a new application externally. You'll have a solid background in software, but will have moved into a more enterprise level view - away from hands on coding and into solutions/technical design. We're looking for a wide range of software/COTS experience rather than specific expertise in just one area. Experience of cloud solutions across both AWS and Azure are also needed. If you meet the below criteria then we are keen to have a chat!. Current software solutions design experience. A background in software, likely in your earlier career. Understanding of software challenges and experience in providing technical solutions & recommendations. Some experience of design modelling/doc management. Previous experience of undertaking proof of concept exercises. An appreciation and knowledge of enterprise wide applications, database, distributed computing, virtualisation, and application technology. And knowledge of technologies and common packaged platforms/systems. Able to work 2/3 days a week on site in Glasgow
