The company was founded just over two years ago by industry veterans and entrepreneurs since July 2022. The company's mission is to transform and enhance how app marketers run their programmatic media campaigns. They provide a bidder or DSP as a service to app marketers for in-house programmatic media buying, focusing on user acquisition and re-engagement. The company also delivers analytics to give clients insights on fraud, attribution accuracy, and incrementally, enabling marketers to develop an in-house business case and take control of their media strategy.

About the role:

They are looking for a Platform Engineer with a good understanding of algorithm complexity and computational efficiency. You will need to be able to explain and understand complex systems, solve problems, and take on a pivotal role that will have an immediate impact on the business. This role provides significant opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Build libraries and services for the company's core bidding platform.
• Write tests for new code to ensure it meets requirements and checks for edge cases.
• Identify and replicate issues reported in production and fix the root causes.
• Attend morning calls with the team to ensure priorities are aligned and provide support to any blocked developers.
• Work on a particular task from the Sprint either alone or with another developer.
• Join the afternoon stand-up to discuss progress and next steps.
• Deploy updates to our Dev environment to test a new feature and discuss regression requirements with the SDET Engineer.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Physics, or other numerate subject.
• Experience in online mobile advertising is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer writing code in Java.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker is preferred.
• Experience with AWS is an advantage.
• Experience in shared software development using git and reviews.
• Good written and spoken English.
