Mondas are looking for a Security Engineer to support project teams with one of our major clients. This role will be mainly remote, with 1 to 2 days in their Midlands office per month.

You will be providing your security expertise to guide and shape a number of ongoing and future IT projects, your support will be pivotal in ensuring security policies and procedures are being considered and applied, suggesting solutions and preventative measures where relevant.

The successful candidate will be managing stakeholders and providing security advice where relevant, ensuring the smooth and successful delivery or internal projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide security expertise for ongoing IT projects

• Support several technical teams in the design and implementation of the technical security of internal infrastructure solutions and services

• Coordinate with colleagues in security and the wider IT teams to investigate problems, suggest or implement solutions and take preventative measures

• Identify security risks within the IT projects and solutions that you will be overseeing

• Ensure correct implementation of security standards and procedures

• Drive security risk decisions, initiatives and influence technical architecture

Experience:

• Experience with AWS & GCP architecture, build & security

• Previous experience providing security advisory to technical teams

• Experience working with window server operating systems

• Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and applying its principles

• Experience with Microsoft authentication and directory (Active Directory)

• Experience with patching and vulnerability management (Tenable, WSUS, SCCM)

• Experience supporting several projects simultaneously

Location: Hybrid, 1 to 2 days per month in the Midlands office

Salary: £60,000- £70,000
