Head of Data Engineering Fixed Income Trading Finance New York

Global Head of Data Engineering and Analytics (Fixed Income Trading Front Office Data Analytics Research Software Engineering Vendor Financial Services Derivatives Credit Rates Bonds) required by our Fixed Income software client in New York.

You MUST have the following:

• Experience as a Senior Engineering Manager/Head of Engineering
• A background as a Software Engineer
• Experience taking data or trading applications or products to market, from a vendor perspective
• A strong understanding of equities, Fixed Income, FX or commodities

The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:

• Knowledge of derivatives
• Experience taking data analytics products to market

Role: Global Head of Data Engineering and Analytics (Fixed Income Trading Front Office Data Analytics Research Software Engineering Vendor Financial Services Derivatives Credit Rates Bonds) required by our Fixed Income software client in New York. You will be managing a team of 55 engineers who are responsible for the maintenance of an existing suite of research and analytics products that are sold to an external client base on the buy and sell side. This group will also be responsible for the maintenance of future products innovated by the research team and will build a new flagship analytics products to be built and released in 2023. Together with the business lead and head of research, you will work to generate other products with the objective of meeting ambitious revenue targets in this space. In the next 24 months, this department could exceed 70 staff.

You will come into the role with a software engineering background. You will have managed multiple engineering teams who have taken to market products in the financial trading domain. Ideally, these will have a data component but this is not essential.

The working from home model is flexible. Time in the office is at your discretion.
