Our client, an international and renowned company located in the Utrecht area, is currently looking for a pro-active and analytical candidate who is able to work within an international environment. The Compensation Specialist is responsible for researching, implementing and administering HR compensation programs, policies and procedures across Europe for all employees.

Main Tasks

  • Collaborate with regional HR & corporate teams to administer compensation programs within the organization for store employees
  • Administer and overlook the organization's salary structure to ensure a balance between cost control, legal compliance and attracting and retaining staff
  • Administer and analyze salary structures within the Human Resource Management System and utilize the system to facilitate compensation reporting
  • Administer and analyze the effectiveness of existing compensation programs, policies and procedures
  • Recommending revisions of current compensations plans or the initiation of new programs, which are cost effective and consistent with current compensation trends and our clients strategies
  • Engage in and undertake salary surveys to ensure compensation objectives are achieved
  • Support regular and ad-hoc reporting on Compensation related matters
  • Participate in global and European Compensation projects

Requirements

For this role, you need to:

  • Preferably have a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Have 1-2 years Compensation and Benefits experience
  • Have an International mindset, and previous experience working within an international company
  • Have the ability to work with multiple partners from various backgrounds and cultures
  • Be fluent in English, and preferably speak another European language
  • Have highly developed analytical skills
  • Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of PeopleSoft; other HRMS is a plus
  • Have the ability to diagnose problems and think out of the box
  • Be Service-oriented and have high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Have high level of ethics and integrity
  • Have a good sense of humour
