Software Development Lead - Fixed Income eTrading

This is an extremely important hire for the Front Office Fixed Income eTrading technology team at a Globally recognised investment bank based in London.

The team is looking to hire a Software Development Lead with a hands-on Java background in fixed-income trading environments. The team focuses most of its revenue generation on rates and credit trading.

From day one, this Software Development Manager will oversee a growing team of around 10 people, they will be the solution architect for the team and will have a large budget for future growth. There are plans to at least double in size.

It's important this person is well-versed in Agile and is comfortable driving large-scale projects forward and adding real technical direction.

This is an opportunity to be a huge part of and the driving force for a highly successful Front Office Fixed Income e-trading team in London and make a real impact technically and culturally.

Key requirements

- Strong Java development background

- ION Marketview experience is a plus but not crucial

- Experience working within a rates and credit trading business area

- Strong team management experience

- Ability to work effectively with a global team

- Good experience in Agile scrum environments

- Architecture and design knowledge

- Highly effective communicator
