A Registered Professional Nurse, not included in a patient care assignment, which will provide clinical support and transport patients to testing and procedural areas while monitoring patient condition. Round on patients transferred from the Intensive Care Units within the past 24 hours. Focused rounding for patients with elevated MEWS Scores and lactate levels on units during downtime.
Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
BSN required, MSN is preferred.
Must maintain the continuing education requirements to maintain competency and certification in Critical Care. (CCRN)
CCRN required or obtained within six months of hire.
Three to five years of Critical Care or Emergency room experience required.
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Demonstrate the ability to work independently, in an interdisciplinary environment.
Demonstrated clinical expertise and advance assessment skills of the critically ill.
Licensed and currently registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Valid American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider CPR certification required
ACLS (American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider) and continuous renewal every two (2) years
Completion of the Critical Care course
