Solution Architect.London Based*

I am hiring for a Solution Architect on behalf of a leading insurance company based in London. This position is responsible for designing and enforcing solutions for the architectural governance of platforms. You will be joining a highly collaborative team and have the opportunity to design solutions built around functional technology areas including cloud computing and data storage.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to have 10 or more years of IT architecture experience and in-depth knowledge of major programming languages. The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of public cloud platforms and be able to interact effectively with insurance brokers.

Key Skills:

• Public Cloud Platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Cloud Migration/Database Design/Cloud Hosting
• Understanding of SaaS platforms and Microservices
• Integration Architecture experience (API gateways, Event Bus models)
• Programming experience (Java, .NET)
• Operating systems experience (Windows, UNIX)
• Financial services or insurance experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop flexible, adaptable, modular and reusable business solution architecture designs in collaboration with product delivery and operation support teams.
• Develop solutions and roadmaps on applications transformation and modernisation.
• Implement appropriate solution architecture governance processes and tools while maintaining a key focus on design patterns and technology standards.
• Maintain a repository of architecture assets (Platforms, Services, APIs) and promote effective reuse across the enterprise.
• Act as an enabler of Agile and DevOps practices in collaboration with product delivery and operation support teams.
• Explore, evaluate and promote technology innovation within the enterprise.
• Evaluate, learn and assist teams with open-source technology solutions.
