Senior Fullstack Software Engineer - Lisbon

iO has partnered with a new organization who are the largest and most significant of its kind who are growing their European presence. Operating in asset management sector, they utilize data and analytics to change the way organizations manage their various venues and buildings.

They're building an entire new team in Lisbon to help them enhance and develop new features on their platform. The role requires knowledge and experience relating to; Software Design, Software Architecture, Security and Cloud Computing. It's a great opportunity for an experienced developer to work with a real-life system that handles many thousands of requests per second, deployed globally on multiple clouds. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of back and Front End technologies and many different databases and queueing

Tech specifics: Scala (they can train you if you have experience with Java/Kotlin) - JavaScript, Angular - HTML, CSS - AWS - Relational DBs - Kafka

Skills Required:
Java/Scala/Kotlin, or alternatively strong in OOP and/or functional programming and keen to learn Scala
Excellent communication skills and ability to self manage
Solid understanding of development, release and support life cycles
Solid understanding of Web application development
Experience with IaaS/PaaS solutions, eg AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
Scripting skills, eg Perl, Python, Bash
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux Operating Systems
