EFX Java Developer

FX/eTrading Senior Java Developer

As an FX/eTrading Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for providing estimates for tasks, proposing solutions to complex problems, and delivering rapid resolutions as needed. You should have excellent Java programming skills, with a focus on core Java technology, and experience developing low-latency trading systems. A solid understanding of concurrency, Java performance tuning, messaging, persistence, and distribution is also essential for this role.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to evaluate a situation or problem, understand the risks, costs, and benefits, and exercise judgement to determine the best course of action. You should also be able to work independently, yet also leverage the talents and views of others in the team.

Experience in Front Office banking and knowledge of KDB will be helpful in this role, as will full life cycle development of at least one large commercial system, with a focus on significant development of high-frequency trading or pricing systems.
