And what sets you apart from everyone else applying for this role?
Whenever I have advertised for a director level position, I have received numerous application based on the idea that this is a Senior Position in a Business and this is what your career deserves. 100 times out of 100, however, the people that are successful in obtaining these roles are the ones who view this as the start of a new road, not the end of an old one.
So where do you position yourself?
My client is an SME business who have dominated the RFID market within their field and are now starting to bring new innovation to their product lines and a new structure to their business.
With the technical talent on board, they now need a driven director to own the strategy and operational function around new market and business development. Working alongside a team that are driven to expand and deliver, this will be a crucial role in the development of the business strategy.
If you are looking for a chance to take on a challenge and demonstrate the impact that you can have in an Electronic business then this is it.
Ideally, the company are looking for someone with the following background
-Working in a start-up/SME environment
-Background in Sales, or customer facing position.
-Experience in developing strategies for new markets
-Experience working in Firmware/Electronic Environment
This will initially be offered as a non-executive directorship, with the chance to become an executive director quickly within the company. The salary expectation for this role will be around the £80,000 mark.
