The Data Center Systems Presales Solution Architect is a Pre-Sales resource that leads the consultative discovery of the client's business goals, objectives, and challenges, and then translates them into effective technology solutions for a privately held technology service and solution provider with a highly adaptable business strategy and clear revenue growth that is recognized for Customer Satisfaction Excellence with a territory covering New York, New Jersey to Philadelphia including 25% local travel, 20-50% work from home, 25% in office. The function of this Presales Solution Architect role is to engage with the customer as the technical expert in solution design, product demonstration, requirement gathering, and all other technical elements of the Pre-Sales/PreSales and Solution Construction process. You will also be instrumental in educating non-technical staff and customers on solution features and capabilities.
Through ongoing efforts, you will maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and best practices relevant to your technology discipline.
Skills and Specifications:
Qualified Data Center Systems Presales Solution Architect candidates will have understanding what Data Center infrastructure is needed to support high end enterprise applications.
Senior level technical proficiency in at least one of each of the following:
Storage Vendors: EMC, Hitachi, Pure, HP, NetApp
HyperConverge: Nutanix, VxRail (EMC), VxRack (EMC), HyperFlex
Data Center Experience: Building Data Center Builds, Moving Data Centers, Building Private Clouds
-Engage with customer to develop trusted technology advisor relationships with key decision makers
-Work with customers to discover and gather technical and business requirements
-Prepare and deliver presentations to educate customers of solution and service benefits relevant to their business/technology needs and goals
-Architect solutions to meet customer requirements within industry and technology best practices
-Develop technical roadmap for the overall solution including high level design, SoW, BoM
-Assist sales in customer meetings to answer technical questions
-Respond to technical components of RFI/RFP/RFQ
-Assist sales in technical components of tender and bidding process
-Act as the technical authority for assessment and approval of specifications for solution construction or change
-Assist partners with project plan, direction, and evaluation with the inclusion of costs, requirements, and timeline
-Liaise with customer and internal staff throughout project delivery to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
-Share knowledge of product benefits and capability in ongoing training sessions with technical and non-technical staff
-Assist Director with regional corporate growth activities and take on increase position responsibility when appropriate
-Participate in technology and professional training and development to continue to enhance your skills and capability

Target base starting salary is $150,000 to $170,000 base, plus 20% bonus = Total-$200,000-$225,000 per year. Candidates outside this range will be considered as well based on skills, experience, and certifications.
