Resourcing Officer (part time) - Thornbury

Sanderson HR & Resourcing is working exclusively with an award-winning SME professional services provider to hire the firms first ever dedicated Resourcing specialist.

This values driven business has multiple offices located in and around the Bristol area and this position will have a degree of flexibility around base location and home working.

This part time role (20 to 25 hours over 4 to 5 days per week) will be ideal for somebody looking for a good work-life balance.

Reporting to the HR Manager as Resourcing Officer you will be responsible for working with team leaders and senior managers to provide an effective and pro-active recruitment service. You will manage the full end to end recruitment life cycle including sourcing candidates at all levels through the most appropriate channels.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Providing an approachable and knowledgeable point of contact for all recruitment needs within the business.
  • Supporting the full end to end recruitment process including, writing job adverts to attract the best candidates, arranging and conducting interviews and managing new starter onboarding.
  • Using a variety of social media platforms to assist with the proactive attraction of candidates to the business.
  • Liaising with external recruiters with confidence to negotiate fees and set up preferred suppliers list (PSL).
  • Working within the HR team to agree and confirm offers of employment and to prepare associated offer paperwork.
  • Working with the HR and Marketing team to promote the employer brand including attending open days/recruitment fairs etc.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • First and foremost you will have proven experience as a full "end to end" recruiter within strong sourcing, coordination and organisational skills.
  • You will have experience of using social media and other recruitment tools to attract and identify relevant candidates.
  • You be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally with confidence.
  • Ideally you will have some employee law knowledge and a basic understand of HR practices.
