Caseload details for this School Occupational Therapist position:
•Full time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
•4.5 days in elementary school setting including preschool, K-5 general education population and some ASD caseload
•.5 day in high school setting
•Pay rate range is estimated at $26-34/hour
The Occupational Therapist:
•Participates in the child study, referral and IEP process.
•Provides assessment and information regarding a student's ability to participate in desired daily school activities.
•Help children fulfill their role as students by supporting academic goals and equipping children with tools for behaviors necessary for success in the learning environment.
•Provides a therapeutic program of instruction to meet individual needs of children.
•Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school personnel to implement strategies for instruction.
•Provides consultation to regular education, special education, support staff and parents regarding programming for children.
•Keeps thorough and ongoing records for identified students.
•Maintains appropriate records of referrals, screening and assessments.
