Experienced Cardiac Surgery First Assistants Needed for Premier Regional Cardiac Surgery Practice - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

University of South Florida (USF) is seeking first assistants experienced in all facets of adult cardiac surgery (endoscopic vein harvesting, radial artery harvesting etc.) to join our team of cardiac surgeons and advanced practitioners at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL. We are seeking an energetic, motivated team oriented Individuals who are interested in contributing to a patient-focused, collaborative and cohesive cardiac surgical team composed of 4+ surgeons and multiple other advanced practitioners.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a track record of accomplishment in cardiac surgery, extensive experience in surgical techniques and is able to assume first assistant responsibilities from day one. Nurse practitioners or physician assistants considered.

* The Provider will work mainly with the CV Surgeon first assisting on Cardiac and Thoracic, including heart and lung transplantation procedures

* Vein Harvesting (both EVH and open)

* 9 CV operating rooms

* Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in the CV surgery setting
