Job Description
The Dallas Business Journal is seeking a dynamic professional to
join its growing Sales Team. The successful candidate is a top
producer who is passionate about selling and has a proven track
record of success in prospecting, business development and
achieving monthly sales goals. He or she excels in multi-faceted
sales, networking, follow up and conducting presentations.

Duties
Prospecting is a key element of this position; it requires
identifying and qualifying new clients Calling on and following up
with prospects to hit revenue goals Effectively manage time and
efforts with a focus on generating revenue for all assigned product
and consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual
revenue goals Develop new business and manage the sales cycle from
start to finish Meet minimum activity levels to ensure goals are
achieved Represent Dallas Business Journal at local business
networking events and trade shows to build a strong network You
must be comfortable presenting to business professionals including
C-level executives and possess excellent communication skills
Contribute to a positive team environment Forecasting revenue
Skills
Two years sales experience A strong track record of consistent
revenue growth Effective time management skills The ability to
exceed expectations in a results-oriented environment Strong desire
to achieve and desire to be the best Prior business to business
sales experience with proven, documented results Well organized
with good computer skills Comfort speaking at the executive level
and in front of large groups Superior presentation and organization
skills Networking skills, a professional appearance, and the
ability to close deals
