Job Summary:
Support efforts throughout the company to optimize the operation, performance and efficiency of all manufacturing processes. We lead our industry in engergy efficiency awards in the U.S. This position would work with a team of engineeers using cutting edge technology such as drones, modeling software and 3D printing.

Duties:
• Collaborate with corporate and plant engineers, and plant maintenance personnel in the implementation of best practices for reliability centered maintenance
• Evaluate maintenance practices for reliability, design, implementation and operation, making recommendations and help to implement improvements as needed
• Maintain knowledge of best maintenance practices through continuing education and experience
• Train and collaborate with other personnel using developed knowledge base
• Provide support and/or management on major plant maintenance projects, capital projects and upgrades and repair to equipment
• Use best practices to review new capital project equipment design and selection
• Work with plant personnel to reduce plant costs by increasing reliability
• Work with vendors to select, purchase, upgrade analysis equipment, including software
• Partner with Original Equipment Manufacturers to problem solve and determine solutions
• Develop and maintain specifications for equipment selection
• Monitor plant equipment reliability
• Identify problem areas and work with plant personnel, engineering and environmental staff to design and implement solutions
• Manage and/or provide support on the management of capital improvement projects as assigned

Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Civil Engineering

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Will be required to travel to any of the West Coast company facilities and other locations as needed
• Must be a self-directed and able to work independently
• Must be willing to work cooperatively with plant and corporate personnel
• Strong communication skills, verbally, written and in presentations

Preferred:
Industrial plant experience preferred

Conditions of Employment:
Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
