SUMMARYThis position is responsible for recruiting businesses to join the Kentucky State Chamber of Commerce. The Membership Development Manager will have an office in Frankfort but will primarily be working in Louisville recruitng businesses. This position provides for a base plus commision, cell phone and mileage reimbursement. The manager will engage in appropriate prospecting activities to achieve monthly new member and revenue goals within the Louisville territory.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Must consistently prospect, schedule and attend meetings with potential members.Meet weekly appointment and sales presentation goalsSales must be achieved through personal contact and other materials approved by the Chamber.Contact all new members within the first month of membership to welcome to the Chamber.Contact all new members at 6-month mark to answer any questions regarding membership.Maintain a territory of prospects from outside sources as well as the established database.Update all new member information including SIC, number of employees and business description in the Chamber s database.Records may not be invoiced until contact has been established.Create invoices and make regular updates to the existing database.Prepare daily call/visit activity report.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
