Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager, for one of our clients in the financial services industry in Northampton, for a permanent role!
If you have a knowledge of the equity and the equity derivative space, knowledge of product types around the financial space, Equity Data Warehouse - trading transactions, building feeds, options, swaps, then this is a great opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
Working with respective leads to define and implement the strategy and vision, translating gaps between current state architecture and strategy into a project plan/roadmap
Setting out the business case for the programme, taking into account information on benefits, costs, risks and timescales, concluding on whether it's viable and achievable
Defining and implement governance and reporting structure appropriate for the project, and ensuring resources are in place, appropriately skilled and appointed for delivery
Ensuring that sufficient level of detail project and quality plans are prepared and maintained for complex projects, providing regular and accurate reports on progress
Constructing and managing the project financials (budget, forecast, actuals), providing detailed reports on variances to key stakeholders
Overseeing training/communication activities to ensure it is fit for purpose for level of business change
Ensuring compliance to quality assurance per the Change Framework and initiating other assurance activities where required
Defining and tracking the realisation of project benefits as per the Business Case and ensuring sufficient evidence is maintained to quantify benefits at project closure
Requirements
Knowledge of Equity Derivatives, asset classes and associated trade, reference and instrument attributes
Project Management - Practitioner level accreditation (eg Prince 2, PMI, APM, Agile), and excellent knowledge of Data Standards and Management of Data
Experience with managing projects of medium complexity, business critical and cross-functional teams spanning multiple regions and functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation to senior level stakeholders, and ability to build good knowledge of specialist areas that projects operate in
Nice to have
Experience in managing Data and Analytics driven projects, good Financial Industry knowledge, and experience of working with Risk, Finance and Treasury functions
Knowledge of Data Platforms, Cloud Solutions and Monitoring and Alerting
Knowledge of banking applications and infrastructure
Solid team player who will contribute outside of their remit and ability to work in a virtual team
