Lead Design Engineer

Lead Network Engineer - Wolverhampton - up to £70,000 - Finance Sector

REED are currently supporting a nationwide company within the finance sector for a Lead design network engineer position, you will be responsible for the design, implementations and upgrades within the business.

You will be involved in both high- and low-level design to support architectural proposals.

You will liaise closely with head of networks and take cyber security considerations in account ensuring best practice. Work alongside internal and external stakeholders ensuring technical business requirements into functional technical designs.

You will be entrusted to provide tailored strategic solutions based on industry best practice, focusing on future advancement and expansion of the infrastructure. Having the dedication to take responsibility as a Lead Technical design engineer is key for this position.

Key Technical Experience Required:

• Experience delivering complex tasks
• Ability to create LLD and HLD
• Advanced level skills on routing and switching
• Advanced level skills of Firewall administration
• Experience in VOIP and network configurations
• CCNP OR CCDE Qualification is essential

Key Duties:

• Design, support and implement network technologies and cloud solutions
• Provide LLD based on requirements set by key stake holders
• Support Technology stakeholders by translating high level business requirements into functional designs and processes.
• Be the escalation point for network failures when appropriate
• Actively stay up to date with network development in the most cost-effective way
• Support wider team with technical documentations
• Problem management
• Be the escalation point for 3rd line engineers for critical network services
• Support teams in DR and test verification as per policy
