Product Owner-Edinburgh Lothians-£60,000

Company Overview:

Our client is a global leader in public safety and enterprise security, they create and connect the technologies that help to keep people safe where they live, learn, work and play.

The Edinburgh Mobile Video team is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join them in developing their core mobile video camera software. Their Embedded solutions allows the cameras to be used and relied upon by the emergency services worldwide.

Job Description:

The role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in the Edinburgh Office.

The Product Owner will be required to take ownership of the portfolio of Embedded products.

Engage with the business and stakeholders, to produce product visions and roadmaps.

Engage with the development teams, to produce well maintained, ordered backlogs, to deliver value across the portfolio.

Make timely and decisive decisions regarding product scope and schedule.

Understand the product domain.

Ensure Product Backlogs are visible, transparent, and understood by all stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements:

Good to have: Product Owner certification (scrum.org or Scrum Alliance)

A minimum of 18 months hands-on, post-certification experience in an Agile software development environment

Essential:

MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related discipline

Good knowledge of Embedded software systems

Knowledge of agile software development and management best practices, including build environments and automated testing

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to proactively articulate product roadmap, vision, Product Backlog Items and progress to a wide audience

English language skills at a level allowing efficient and effective communication

Self-motivated, positive attitude, an ability and desire to motivate others

Experience of Azure DevOps (or similar) is highly desirable
