This role will report to:

Financial Controller

This is a Fixed Term Contract of 6 months.

Job Description:

The Role:

  • Assist in month end project reporting and processing
  • Assist with stock take processing and associated stock allocations
  • Processing of sub-contractor invoices, ensuring accurate collection of project data
  • Checking and verifying source data and challenging where appropriate
  • Analysis of cost variances on projects
  • Investigation of stock variances
  • Assist in the development of the automation of project cost collection
  • Contribute to the collation of KPIs relating to the asset build and associated inventory
  • Assist in appropriate allocations of cost between Assets under Construction and Network Asset
  • Assist with the capitalisation of projects, ensuring the appropriate treatment of Assets
  • Work within the team to review processes and suggest improvements where appropriate
  • Ensure stock accounting policies and practice are in line with the business needs
  • Other finance duties where appropriate

Person Spec:

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 2 or more years' experience of financial reporting and analysis
  • A background in managing project costs or inventory would be useful
  • AAT Qualified
  • Experience with an ERP system is favourable. Microsoft Dynamics experience would be an asset
  • Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
