Simulator Support Engineer

Simulator Support Engineer | Hybrid | SC Cleared/Clearable | £55,000

Here at iO we are lucky to work with a variety of clients including one who will go onto make huge waves in the defence market, and they are on the lookout for a Simulator Support Engineer to join their growing team.

For this role you will need to hold SC Clearance or be SC Clearable.

The company in question are using cutting edge technology creating VR Technology for both games and simulators.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing first line support & maintenance for the supported systems to maintain system up time
• Preparing the supported training systems on site each day
• Ensuring back-up copies of system software & data are maintained
• Working with Virtualized Systems with VMware and Hyper -V

The role itself will be hybrid based out of my clients Portsmouth Office alongside a competitive salary of up to £55,000.

If you have experience of:

• An understanding of hardware, software and systems engineering
• Experience administering, maintaining, rebuilding PC based systems
• Safety, security and configuration management control process understanding#
• Linux
• Network technologies
• Secure systems.
