Finitas has partnered with a leading, conglomerate speciality insurance syndicate in the efforts to hire a pragmatic and highly analytical individual for their Underwriting Operations team.

What you can expect from the role:

• The UW ops team is made up of 7 people, but you'll be joining a large team of 70 MI & Data professionals, providing you with a variety of career development paths in the business.
• As this is a lead role, you will engage senior stakeholders across different arms of the business, giving you excellent exposure to influential leaders in this market.
• This role will be heavily supported by the MI management team to enhance capabilities of achieving goals set out by the business, pursuing key strategic objectives, and adapting to market/business changes.
• You'll have the opportunity to work on an excellent product and convey the message across the business, build strong relationships, and build a deep understanding of the business.

Key requirements

• Excellent Power BI experience, building meaningful dashboards using the tool. DAX would be highly beneficial but can be taught.
• SQL - experience in writing/checking queries is a minimum requirement. Advanced knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent Stakeholder management skills reinforced with strong communication.
• An understanding of the Insurance function and the requirements of data needed.
• Requires relevant experience working in a similar role within the Insurance industry, preferably with a Broker or Underwriter.
• Show initiative and a proactive attitude to new ideas and prioritise tasks where needed.
