Python (Full Stack) Engineer

Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Python Software Engineer (Full Stack).

• £60.55 an hour (base PAYE rate)
• Glasgow location

Skills required:

• Experienced in full-stack developer, proficient in Python, or proficient in other languages (eg Java and/or Perl) but willing to work in Python.
• Knowledge of storage technologies and disciplines are strongly preferred, include Block/File/Object Storage, RAID, Erasure Coding, Distributed/Scale-out Storage, File systems,
• High-availability methods, etc. Understanding networking protocols and connectivity preferred.
• Understanding of Client Server, Scaleout architectures, virtualization, performance and capacity management strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge and experience in automation of a large-scale system is preferred, including management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Salt Stack, or Chef.
• Effective troubleshooting skills across O/S, network and storage.
• Knowledge and experience in following vendor products are preferred but not required: NetApp 7mode/cDOT/Engenio, IBM Spectrum Scale (aka GPFS), HDS Storage Arrays/HCP, EMC Atmos, Brocade SAN/FOS, Veritas Storage Foundation Suite, Cloud environments (Azure/AWS/Google).
