Product Lifecycle Engineer | Connectivity | Cloud/Internet - 6 months + - Hybrid

Product Lifecycle Engineer | Connectivity | Cloud/Internet expert required by our Client on a Contract basis for 6 months working on a hybrid basis, remote and on-site 1-2 days per week in London.

Our client is looking for someone where the real key is in Product Lifecycle Management as a requirement. They are not looking for networking people but experts who can demonstrate a holistic understanding of the product life cycle. That includes but not limited to, Networks, Processes, Systems inc. Network Management and Operations, Strategy and Roadmap, vendor liaison, PoCs, trials, FOAs etc.

Your role:

The Connectivity Product Lifecycle Engineer will ensure the correct life cycle of Fixed Security products. Product Lifecycle engineers will engage with multiple stakeholders to ensure performance is correctly measured, will lead life cycle projects and will ensure the privacy and security of the products themselves remain up to date. The Product Lifecycle Engineer will be working with a team of Security, Connectivity, SD-WAN and SD-LAN architects, operational support teams, vendors, and developers to ensure all the activities of the product portfolio meet agreed KPIs.

This role will be to deliver on the following:

• Lead life cycle projects, to maintain the privacy and security of the live products
• Identify areas of operation process improvements across our clients teams and suppliers, and feed them to peers such as Product Architects and Technical Product Owners
• Identify operational product performance enhancements and introduce into development EPICs
• Engage with operational and support functions to collect and discuss requirements and solutions
• Present solutions to technical and not technical audiences and run know-how transfer sessions

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

Ensure the correct life cycle of the products - Identify areas of product and process optimisation and feed into development teams for delivery. - Review technical documents from internal stakeholders as well as suppliers - Review and refine end to end service models - Ability to master complex problems and summarise them in simple terms, based on target audience

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

Expertise in either fixed security or traditional connectivity - Ability to manage multiple & changing priorities and follow-up until delivered. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation - Solid understanding of in life product life cycle processes

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

Relevant higher education in a related field (computer science/networking field with elements of modern SW programming) - Knowledge and understanding of the Connectivity and/or Enterprise technology market - In-life operational process improvement experience

Nice to have:

• Expertise in SD-WAN/SD-LAN - Technical knowledge in IP data networking and in non CLI driven device configuration
• Experience in working in virtual and multinational teams, with proven record of delivering goals in Matrix organisations
• Experience in working with Agile and SAFe
• Cloud and cloud-native application concepts
• 3rd party Cloud hosting certifications or key experience
