Payroll Specialist (Spanish Payroll Legislation, Benefits, Compensation, Rewards)

Spanish Payroll specialist needed to work with a customer to document all of the Payroll and Compensation information in preparation for a new Payroll system.

Tasks include:

• Gather information on hours worked for each employee
• Compile the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. with the assistance of a computer system.
• Collaborate with the external provider to ensure the correct calculation of salaries.
• Execute and observe payment approval workflow
• Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system
• Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
• Define, along with the Performance and Rewards Manager, a fair, equitable, and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned with our company's strategy and business goals
• Ensure that compensation practices comply with current legislation (pay equity, tax requirements, etc)
• Ensure that the compensation and benefits package offered is aligned with the market benchmark.
• Participate in salary and labour market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits
• Design and calculate an effective budget to ensure the proper coverage at each point of sales, aligned with the business needs.
• Identify variances between actual and budgeted employment cost results at the end of each reporting period
