Software Engineer/Developer - Extensive Training to become a Software Assurance Consultant (Permanent)

Location: Malvern or Salisbury

Experis Consulting has an exciting and unique opportunity for individuals to be trained in Software Assurance up to Consultant level, all whilst working for one of the leading defence clients within their air division. This is a great opportunity to join Experis' ever growing consulting division where you will be trained and developed whilst representing Experis on one of our leading defence and aerospace accounts.

We are seeking individuals that have previous experience across all phases of the software development life cycle and who have a desire to learn software assessment. Experience of providing technical assurance in the software domain would be advantageous and some knowledge of military/civil standards for software safety would be desirable but not essential. With a passion for software and IT, you will be able to demonstrate an ability to work well within a dynamic and fast paced environment which offers strong career progression.

• Pragmatic in the judgement of software integrity and the determination of an adequate level of evidence
• A professional and presentable demeanour when interfacing with the customer or contractors, either as part of a team or individually
• Be able to exercise diplomacy in discussions and negotiations with the customers and contractors to maintain productive working relationships

As part of the extensive training programme, you will receive both on the job and classroom based learning, covering the core fundamentals of software safety and technical assurance.

Fully trained up, you will act as an Independent Technical Assessor of the software of safety critical/related aircraft systems and provide advice on airworthiness issues related to those systems. This will involve the assessment of third-party software and/or software documentation for adequate safety and conformance to standard.
