We have been engaged on a project to recruit an Azure Engineer for a multinational facilities management organisation. Their working approach is built around their customer's needs. The organisation takes an end-to-end approach. The provide multiple services which are delivered through a one-team approach. They serve a broad range of sectors and maintain the essential services to these sectors running uninterrupted. The organisation has experienced considerable growth over the past years.
This role is based in Glasgow. The works on a hybrid model with once a week in office.
Your new role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation which is a leading facilities service company. This role will be responsible for the support of the client and global Azure cloud infrastructure. You will primarily provide support in the UK but will be part of a globalised support team providing a first-class service to the business from multiple locations and time zones. You will be take responsibility for all functions relating to the planning, installation, configuration and operation of the Azure cloud infrastructure.
Ensure IT disaster recovery and business continuity is in place and ready. Carry out risk assessments, Disaster Recovery exercises and create disaster recovery plans. Provide technical expertise in a complex hybrid infrastructure environment including Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. Configure and manage Containers, CI/CD, Automation, Functions, Serverless, API management, Application gateway, Virtual machines, Virtual networks, Network security groups, express route etc. Design and lead the migration of on-premise services/Servers to Azure Cloud.
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate will be someone with experience of public cloud infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure including Azure tools such as Azure Backup and Site Recovery, Azure Monitor, Azure Active Directory, Azure Have good knowledge of Azure Infrastructure as code, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and good understanding of Azure Resource Manager & Azure AD. Also, some knowledge of Windows Server . Azure Operations (Server and/or Networking and/or Security, builds, configuration)
You should be keen for a fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn and grow. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Pragmatic and flexible approach. Excellent interpersonal skills. Flexibility to handle multiple job functions in a constantly changing environment while maintaining focus. Delivering within an agile environment.
