Hays Technology are currently recruiting for a Software Developer to join a large public sector organisation in Wakefield.

Your new role

As the Software Developer, you will work on development and implementation of functional programs throughout the software development life cycle and undertake and co-ordinate all development, design and content entry on all the company's web and platform based applications, online services, and associated security. You will produce clean, efficient code based on specifications and inline with modern standards and best practice of the organisation.

You will liaise with other managers and departments to propose, influence and encourage the business changes required for the development, planning and design of on-line technology, applications and web sites, across a range of devices and methods of working.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience with development languages such as C#.Net, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and associated framework
• Experience of developing web applications in line with known web standards for accessibility, usability and design
• Knowledge of an advanced web development framework ASP.NET
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to assist/lead on projects and organising the work required from employees and managers in different departments
• Any experience/knowledge of Salesforce would be advantageous
• A qualification at Level 5 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework, such as NHC, Award, Certificate or Diploma at level 5 or working towards is also desirable
