Based in Peterborough
Hourly Rate: £20/Hr Umbrella
12-month contract

As a Battery Build and Test Technician, you will report directly to the Area Manager. You will be responsible for the Coordination and building of The Electrification Program Products including overseeing End of line Testing activities.

Duties including

• Ordering parts and components working with Engineering Leads
• Conduct and/or direct Build activities of Electrical Powertrain Components.
• Conduct and/or direct EoL Test activities working from the Lead engineer's instructions.
• Support Data analysis on results and help support Lead Engineering Teams.
• Raise issues and report out on Build and Testing product concerns using the PPRD process.
• As Part of Continuous Improvements, you will help support and review Process and Safety procedures along with implementing improvements.
• Collaborate with Facilities Team to ensure any Facility Requirements are resolved with good feedback on new systems.

Skills and Experience:

Required qualifications and skills:

• NVQ Level 3 - Full modern apprenticeship scheme, BTC Higher Award in Test, ONC/HNC - or Degree educated and/or equivalent job-related experience -
• Electronics/Electrical background (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum or HNC with at least 6 years of demonstratable experience.
• Excellent respect and adherence to Health & Safety - To follow correct Risk assessments and safe systems of work/SWIs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (Learning, communication, teamwork)
• Excellent problem solver (working to resolve issues with prototype parts along with data)
• Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
• Self-confidence and a passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high-pressure environment.
