Adecco Engineering are delighted to be working exclusively with a manufacturing client.

They are currently looking for a Procurement professional to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world class employer based in Irvine

The successful candidate will manage locally sourced investment purchases as well as being the key contact for all MRO and Technical Service categories. They will also be responsible for supplier base management and development of both local and regional category collaboration in specified sourcing areas, supporting Global Category Strategies and Contracts.

Responsibilities/Main tasks:

  • Manages local and regional execution level sourcing activities
  • Represents designated categories at mill level
  • Local sourcing, negotiations and contracting according to Source-to-Contract process
  • Buy materials and service solutions according to Requisition-to-Pay process and global category strategies and contracts
  • Owns execution of assigned requisitions by ensuring accurate and timely procurement services covering all activities from purchase order processing, contract and contracts
  • Proactively identify customer needs and influence requisitioning process
  • Maintain proficiency in all relevant Sourcing policies and procedures and actively drive harmonisation and best practices throughout the Requisition-to-Pay process
  • Effectively implement agreed rules and standards in own work as well as enforce agreed policies and procedures throughout the local organisation
  • Participate in cross-functional sourcing work
  • Experience using SAP is essential.
