Director Digital Platform (m/f/d)

Our client is at the forefront of developing Next Generation technology within their industry and looking to hire a Director in Digital Platform (m/f/d) with a passion for bringing new Manufacturing IT technology into the business world.

The successful candidate will lead, mature, and transform the Digital Platform Team and will be responsible for define the future Cloud Digital Platform standards, governance and services within the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Digital Platform Team into a more agile and customer-centric organization.
• Designing and implementing processes for the efficient delivery of Digital Platform services and solutions.
• Creating regulations and services for Cloud Digital Platforms that will be used in the future, such as Manufacturing Data Lake or Data Science services for Plants and Engineering.
• Responsible in defining a strategic roadmap in order to launch new services and ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Collaborating with Infrastructure team to develop a flexible and expansive Cloud-based Platform with guidelines, services, and regulations.
• Collaborating with internal departments to establish MVPs and trials for existing ones (eg Manufacturing Data Lake) and upcoming services, as well as managing outside vendors and 3rd suppliers

Competencies:

• Many years of experience in developing Teams in various areas of Cloud Computing, Container as a Service, Digital Cloud Platform Setup
• Long and strong experience in in establishing, managing, and motivating an international team.
• Expertise on higher management level including budgeting, leading people, and managing projects.
• Thorough knowledge on Cloud and Data Architecture topics; experience in Enterprise Architecture approaches is a plus.
• Excellent know-how in business processes (Manufacturing) and in collaborating with the business side.
• Large-scale project management skills, including the ability to arrange resources, and manage multiple projects in a global environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a can-do mentality
• Ability to drive and take a stand in high-level discussions.
• Fluent English language skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally (depending on project need)
