Salary up to £60k per annum

TechNet IT are current working with a well-known arm of the government who are looking for Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join them.

You will be responsible for the integrity, privacy confidentiality and availability of the IT estate. Reporting to the head of Cyber Security, you will play a vital role in protecting the data systems and Infrastructure from malicious cyber threats.

Some of what you will be doing:

• Deliver cyber security analysis, response, and support to other teams within tech
• Assist project teams in all thing's security
• Upskilling team members to mature the existing cyber security function
• Ensure the 5 NIST core pillars (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover)
• Ownership of security infrastructure
• Act as product owner for security solutions
• Lead Analysis mitigation and resolution of security incidents and threats
• Cyber security response testing
• Internal threat hunting
• Support delivery of new projects
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

• Ethical Hacking
• SOC
• SIEM
• End User Device Security, Server Network Security, Cloud Infrastructure Security, Application development security
• Identity Management experience
• Information security policies, principles, and controls
• Identifying and implementing improvements
• Degree educated (or equivalent)
• Industry certs (CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security, Architecture, Security+, Togaf, SABSA
• ISO27001/ISO27002
• GDPR
• Azure, MS O365, Cloud, Networking Monitoring
• MS Sentinel and Defender
• Identity Access Management Systems (eg SailPoint)
• IDS, IPS, DLP, End Point Security, Encryption, DDOS Protection
• Pen Testing
• Networks, Encryption, Security Policy, Access Controls
