I'm currently working with a thriving UK software development company on a mission to help boards and leadership teams to better perform and collaborate more efficiently. As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will be leading the SRE team both technically and managerially aiding plans of growth, development, and supporting the infrastructure and reliability of their platform and core services.

A company with an excellent customer base featuring over 600 household names, such as Nandos, ITV, NHS, TSB and Rolls-Royce and numerous big banks, as well as transformative plans to drive change within the sector.

Given the sensitive nature of their customers' information needing to remain secure, the majority of the work in this role will be carried out on-premise in 3 UK data centres. Excitingly, the company have plans to move over to the cloud in the future, which is a process you will play an integral role in facilitating.

Team Tech Stack:

• Strong Linux background
• Building and managing systems, infrastructure and applications through automation (Terraform, Ansible, K8s, Helm, Go)
• A Kubernetes Cluster for Container orchestration
• Apache Kafka for event messaging
• Postgres for data storage
• OpenStack Swift for Object storage
• Juniper networking devices
• A number of internally written tools for managing the platform written in Go

As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, they are looking for experience in

• Stakeholder management
• Architectural overview and oversight
• Hands on work as well as managerial capabilities
• A mix of experience on both on-premise and cloud
