My client is seeking an experienced Azure Engineer/Architect to join their Cloud consultancy team. As an Azure Engineer/Architect, you will be responsible for a mix of delivery and architecture tasks in Azure cloud landing zones. You will configure and automate day-to-day Azure operations, own the implementation of Azure resources (VMs, Express Routes, Load Balancers, etc.), and identify automation opportunities for Azure resources and implement them.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and automate day-to-day Azure operations
  • Own the implementation of Azure resources (VMs, Express Routes, Load Balancers, etc.)
  • Identify automation opportunities for Azure resources and implement them
  • Manage Azure patches, access, and configurations
  • Deploy Azure resources and configure networks and security policies
  • Manage and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop effective solutions
  • Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams on Azure best practices
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new Azure services and features to enhance system performance and availability
  • Mentor junior team members on Azure technologies and best practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in managing Azure cloud landing zones
  • Azure DevOps Certified
  • Good working knowledge of setting up and managing Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Strong understanding of Azure Resource Deployment, Network configuration, and Security Policy Implementation
  • Experience with Azure Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and/or Azure CLI Scripting
  • Experience with Azure AD, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor, and other Azure services
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
