• Hypervisors and Virtualisation
• VMWare ESXi vCentre and vSphere
• VEEAM Backup and Replication
• Windows and Exchange PowerShell
• Antivirus platform and ecosystem - ESET
• Knowledge of TCP/IP WAN/LAN and VLAN's MPLS
• Asset and network monitoring tools such as PRTG Lansweeper etc
• Firewall and Switch CLI configuration
• Operating systems - Windows server 2016/2019 and Windows 10
• Confident using command line interfaces
• Prevention work (Cyber attacks)
• Project and change management eg Patching end user devices (In pairs, reduction of human error)
• Technical: Cisco, Juniper, Data Diods, Dell Servers
• Experience in managing high levels of kit to rack

The Role

To provide professional IT managed service support, inclusive of reactive and proactive support. You will bring a high degree of technical infrastructure and networking expertise in a predominantly remote support role, whilst understanding the need to travel to site as and when required.

• Primarily a proactive role with some incident management
• Troubleshoot, and resolve technical hardware, software, operating system, application and connectivity issues in a timely manner
• Physical hardware fault analysis and repair
• Perform routine and proactive infrastructure patching
• Undertake preventative maintenance as identified
• Attend client sites and provide IT support as directed
• Write RFC's to fix or enhance the service or to meet compliance requirements
• Implement client change process to perform changes with due care and attention
• Identify and own incident and problem tickets, ensuring SLA's are met and tickets are regularly updated
• Monitoring daily, weekly, monthly
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
• Create, update and issue process documentation, operations manuals, and work instructions
• Identify, own, and deliver continuous service improvement initiatives
