HR Manager | Duration - 12 Months | Day rate - Circa £350 | Inside of IR35
Harvey Nash's client are currently looking to recruit a HR Manager to join their team for an initial duration of 12 months. The client is based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and the role will be hybrid.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the client has the right people, with the right skill set at the right time enabling them to deliver their corporate objectives, meet changing needs and fulfil their short and long term ambitions.
Main Duties:
- Lead the resourcing team (currently 6 people) in ensuring an excellent resourcing service is offered to our customers
- Work with the business to design and deliver efficient, cost- effective resourcing solutions which are attractive to candidates and sustainable
- Ensure that appropriate recruitment strategies are in place that meet the needs of diverse business areas. Adapting these accordingly for labour market conditions
- Taking a lead role in creating our employee value proposition strategy, ensuring our employer brand is positively represented to increase candidate attraction
- Lead the implementation of continuous improvement in resourcing processes
- Ensure recruitment policies and approaches meet legislative and Civil Service Commission compliance requirements
- Ensure that assessment and selection processes are fit for purpose, fair and transparent, and focused on increasing diversity and inclusion
- Support the decision making of the Strategic Workforce Planning group by ensuring good quality insight is provided
- Managing the resourcing budget well, working with financial data to prepare forecasts and monitor budget against agreed plans.
- Work with HROD and colleagues to ensure a systemic, collaborative approach is used to deliver our People Strategy, and that supports and enables client's business transformation
Essential Skills:
- Chartered CIPD membership (or working towards) or relevant other qualification.
- A proven track record of managing others.
- Ability to be flexible and work with high levels of autonomy in a changing business environment.
- Skilful in reviewing processes or systems to identify improvements.
- Successfully manages, supports and stretches self and others to deliver agreed goals and objectives.
- Clear understanding and demonstrable experience in ensuring value for money and managing budgets.
- Ability to understand business needs, prioritise and align service delivery.
- Applies sound judgement in decision making, ensuring any risks, benefits, and evidence is used to do so.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including clear, concise paper writing.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with an ability to work in partnership, foster good relations and to encourage actions by others.
- Ability to build credible working relationships with employees at all levels, including senior managers and executive stakeholders.
