Our client has a great opportunity for a QHSE Coordinator to work with an existing vibrant team on a long-standing contract.

Objectives:

  • Primarily responsible for assisting management to ensure that our clients operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Implementing the integrated business management system; ensuring a robust and efficient system is maintained, which complies with the requirements of the business and third party quality, health, safety and environmental accreditations.
  • Work with the QHSE team to develop key business improvements across both businesses
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via the MPM Learning & Development.

Your new role

  • Identify & implement strategies to reduce risk for our clients companies and our clients.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of legislation and codes of practice applicable to the company's business.
  • Provide advice and guidance to operational managers and employees on QHSE matters.
  • Carry out assessments that are outside the competence of operational managers ie Significant Risk, COSHH, DSE and other assessments.
  • Investigation of accidents and incidents and production of statistical information in relation to QHSE performance.
  • Provide assurance through audit
  • Work with the QHSE manager to develop and implement QHSE strategies to meet divisional and group objectives.
  • Attend Regional and National meetings as required to represent the QHSE agenda.
  • In conjunction with the QHSE manager establish and maintain QHSE forums to enable engagement and communication with employees.
  • Attend relevant training courses as part of personal development needs and meeting changing business needs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent understanding of CDM Regulations
  • Any other reasonable "ad hoc" duties as required by the needs of the business.
  • NEBOSH Certificate/equivalent or above.
  • Environmental Management Knowledge.
  • Grad IOSH working towards CMIOSH
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
