We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who requires a Full Stack Developer (.NET & C#)for one of theirpublic sectorclients based in Hybrid/Brighton.

Role:

  • Transforming a mission critical application into an Event Based Architecture by applying Domain Driven Design principles using the best cloud-based technology
  • Building accessible cloud hosted websites using the latest technologies and design patterns
  • Helping to refactor applications into cloud app service hosted microservice architectures
  • Working on a cross industry initiative to consolidate all work place pension information
  • This will be a hands-on technical role so we are looking for a person with a strong track record of building solutions across the full stack using.NET C#, but with a passion for learning.
  • The role will be hybrid home/office working in a friendly, supportive team.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Develop and maintain software using Dev Ops and Agile values and principles
  • Write clean code across the full stack for multiple business solutions
  • Refactor code to keep it optimized and keep tests green
  • Use problem solving skills to identify, resolve and communicate on issues with stakeholders
  • Review and feedback on work from colleagues to achieve a high standard of code
  • Keep up with technological advances to optimize the tools and processes used by the team
  • Share learnings with all and coach and mentor less experienced members in the team

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of C# and .NET framework
  • Extensive experience of Web technologies and in particular ASP.NET MVC
  • Detailed practical experience of working with relational databases, SQL Server in particular
  • Knowledge of using Git for source control, ideally with Azure Dev Ops
  • Experience of applying Agile values and principle with Scrum, XP or Kanban methodologies

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of Sitecore/Umbraco or similar Content Management Systems
  • Working knowledge of Azure including Functions, Logic Apps, App Services, Service Bus
  • Experience of TDD/BDD, ideally using Specflow and Selenium for Web UI tests
  • Practical understanding of Event Driven Architecture and Domain Driven Design
