Finitas are proud to be working with a London Market MGU, assisting in their search for a Risk & Compliance Manager. This is an exciting role where you willl be supporting the Group Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:
. Support, coordinate and ensure that in-house systems, process, policies and procedures are in place, covering
o Financial Conduct Authority compliance;
o Financial Crime Regulation (ie, fraud, anti-bribery and money laundering) including relevant Sanctions compliance; and
o Conduct Risk exposure, ensuring that where necessary this is tracked and reported, including procedures relating to 3rd party complaints
. Assist in preparing and delivering the Compliance Plan and timetable that sets out all the relevant regulatory and other reporting deadlines throughout the year, to report against & monitor performance to that plan and to ensure all financial and other regulatory returns, as detailed on the timetable, are submitted to the regulatory bodies by the required deadlines
. Develop risk-based compliance monitoring plan and conduct compliance monitoring reviews in line with the plan, identifying actual or potential regulatory breaches
. Manage, review and updated internal control policies and procedures, ensuring that they are in accordance with the overarching policy framework and otherwise meet regulatory standards and co-ordinate communication plan to business units with policy owners

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
. Experience working in a regulated firm's compliance environment
. Understanding of the FCA regulatory environment
. Prior experience of undertaking internal control/business monitoring activity preferable
. Degree or equivalent experience
. The ability to actively participate in tasks while also leading, taking responsibility and using own initiative
. Sound working knowledge of Microsoft applications and SharePoint
. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
