System Implementation Lead (Payroll)/12 Months FTC/Leeds/Hybrid

Your new company
Hays Technology are recruiting a Systems Implementation Lead for a new payroll system to join a public sector organisation based in the West Yorkshire area on a 12 month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension. You will be reporting to the Payroll Project Lead and will work on the implementation from initially stages of the project.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be providing day to day project support to ensure the implementation of a payroll system is delivered and that it is fit for purpose to improve future strategic and operational needs. You will also be supporting on gathering and implementing requirements and system benefits, data integrity, system build, testing, and implementation.

You will be ensuring all payroll and operational requirements are covered as part of the process and feeding into business requirements by attending feedback sessions. You will also be redesigning and streamlining current processes by utilising new system functionality to improve user experience across the employee life cycle. Within this role, you will be involved with various finance and HR systems.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience implementing Payroll/Finance systems is essential
• Experience of working of system implementations through the full life cycle including initial stages would be ideal
• Experience working towards legislative requirements such as GDPR
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required
• Technical and financial knowledge is ideal
