Configuration Manager

Configuration Manager - Cheshire - 12 Month Contract - Up to £67 per hour (Inside IR35)- Willing to undergo SC Clearance

This is a hybrid role with approximately 1-2 days per week needed onsite per week, however my client is open to discussion to offer more flexibility.

My client is a large defence and aerospace consultancy who are a prime contractor to the Ministry of Defence,

They are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to take responsibility for planning, developing and maintaining both hardware and software across a multitude of new and Legacy systems.

Ideally you will have experience across the full Product Lifecycle and be able to lead a small team of engineers and support their development.

The Key Responsibilities of a Configuration Manager:

• Manage a team of Configuration Engineers and support their development.
• Develop Configuration Management tool sets.
• Create, maintain, and develop Configuration and Data Management processes.
• Perform document control and data management.
• Ensure historical build data is stored and maintained.
• Ensure CM and DM audits are undertaken.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Configuration Manager, however you will not be expected to have everything:

• Knowledge of CMII, ISO 9000, MAOS and DAOS requirements.
• Able to effectively communicate with multiple levels of management.
• Knowledge of CM Standards, eg, Def Stan 05-57 and 05-123, EIA 649.
• Able to manage complex CMDM tasks involving multiple systems.
• Experience providing CM and DM solutions across all aspects of the Design Engineering life Cycle.
• Experience of developing and implementing new strategies.
