Key Responsibilities:

• As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for core IT infrastructure, including networking, hardware, software, storage, backup, and cyber security, across all sites.

• Configuration and management of the Servers that provide core user function.

• Manage and configure cyber security appliances (Forescout/Delinea/Rapid 7).

• Administer and manage virtualised environment and backups, using VMWare and Veeam.

• Administration of AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and DFS.

• Create and maintain automation using both packaged tools, and various Windows Scripting languages.

• Develop and implement best practices and engineering standards.

• Maintain clear documentation on processes and procedures.

• Compliance - ensure all UK infrastructure, hardware, software, policies, and procedures are in line with corporate guidelines.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Strong systems administration experience.

• Experience with virtualisation administration, preferably within an engineering capacity.

• Hands-on experience with Server operating systems, including Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2019.

• Experience with Scripting languages, including PowerShell, Batches, Linux, etc.

• Mastery of Group Policies, DFS, DHCP and DNS.

• Experience with Cyber Security appliance administration.

• TCP/IP Networking.

• Experience with Cisco/Dell switch administration.

• AP and Router administration.

• Firewall administration (configuring ACLs, NATs, IPSec, VPNs).
